Many people have asked why we bring the Lamborghini’s to the tradeshows, so we thought we publicly answer the question because it is a fascinating story.
In order to set the stage, a brief history of Feruccio Lamborghini will paint a picture of a determined business man who absolutely refused to settle for status quo, to be the mischief and take it upon himself to make a difference.
The story begins with Ferruccio Lamborghini, an Italian entrepreneur and successful businessman who initially made his fortune manufacturing tractors. As a car enthusiast, Lamborghini owned several high-end sports cars, including Ferrari. However, he became dissatisfied with his Ferrari’s clutch and approached Enzo Ferrari himself to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
The Milagro story is very similar to Ferruccio Lamborghini, we took our feedback to Aloha in 2010 in order to improve the restaurant industry and and improve the restaurant owners’ quality of life, but instead of allowing others to innovate on top of their POS, we were put through a series of hoops and was eventually denied.
According to the popular narrative, Enzo Ferrari dismissed Lamborghini’s suggestions, stating that a tractor manufacturer should not offer advice on sports cars. This response fueled Lamborghini’s determination to create his own line of sports cars that would rival Ferrari’s.
We again tried in 2018 and after agreeing to pay a $25,000 SDK Connect extortion fee, a $25 per month per location fee and a training fee, Aloha again wasted several months of our time and eventually denied it. We were not going to have it anymore! We decided to go to war.
In 1963, Lamborghini established Automobili Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. The company’s first production car, the Lamborghini 350 GT, was introduced in 1964 and received critical acclaim for its powerful V12 engine, refined design, and luxurious features.
In 2019, Milagro started to delivery on our 2010 vision to take a stand alongside the restaurant owners and help them increasing sales and profits by focusing on customer acquisition adn retention. Our first product was our SmartMENUS, a QR code based menu with beautiful pictures, ability to schedule promotions and more.
Lamborghini continued to innovate and introduce groundbreaking models over the years, including the iconic Miura, Countach, Diablo, and later the Gallardo, Huracán, and Aventador. These cars combined advanced engineering, cutting-edge technology, and distinctive styling, earning Lamborghini a prominent position in the luxury sports car market.
Milagro continued to innovate and introduce new groundbreaking solutions over the next four years including our revolutionary SmartPOS, SmartWAIT, Online Ordering, our iconic SmartX, Customer Data Platform and Marketing Automation. These solutions focused on a singular vision combined with cutting-edge technology in order to delivery on our 2010 vision and promise. “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”
Our fellow restaurant and business owners, continue your relentless fight for a better future
Cheers to your success
